   not always the case, the engine could have flamed out at top altitude and the plane took an uncontrolled dive which could reach subsonic speed, which the wings are not designed to withstand and gave way.

   if it was sabotage i dont think it was done with explosives.
   
   explosives dont cause a plane to roler coaster while climbing to flight level. more likely some contaminated fuel or mechanical tempering.
