Salt water freezes you dolt. In fact ocean water freezes at just 28.4 degrees Fahrenheit. But the ice contains very little salt as only the water freezes and not the salt dissolved in it.
Fun facts the ocean is about 35 parts per thousand salt and your blood is about 34 parts per thousand. -

LOL every day. but some of my derpy high school friends ended up there.

Ice is always mostly salt free no mater the source. The north pole has no land mass. All that ice came from saltwater which froze and shed the salt during the freezing process. -
