I dont think I've owned a iPhone since about the iphone4 but I always remember it too bee a piggy P.O.S after a couple of months and switched back over to a Nokia back in the day.
Much prefer the android set up and it still runs like a smooth garlic butter flipping thru the apps and going back and forth between vlc, youtube, and whatever browser/vpn I want. -

Android is pretty shit though and I have a lot of complaints about both platforms. I wouldn't put myself into either camp but I tend to go with android burner phones cuz it's cheaper
I considered buying an iPhone but for the extra price besides hardware stuff I didn't feel like I was getting much more versus an android device and I would be a totally new apple user and new user to all their services and systems which also didnt seem worth a higher costs and now I gotta learn an entire different ecosystem? That's not compatible with my PC
They have good hardware like no complaints there it's just unless you already use apple products it seems pointless to get one like why buy an iPad, it would be isolated . We have been hoodwinked into buying telephone numbers from a centralized system when you literally don't need any of it. Having a phone number should be as hard as running your own POP3 email server with telecoms existing as a premium service on top of something anyone can essentially do for free
Instead of them having all the power and control and making you jump through hoops and pay up the ass because you exceeded your text limit for local texts or texted someone in China for too much.
Like who the fuck cares, just send it through the WIRE dumbfucks!! I was looking at getting a fax number for a funny country like Venezuela or something and they want like $10 per fax because of all the routing and switching it needs to do.
But I can watch this guy upload from a beach in Venezuela using radio packets just fine, fucking insanity.

You are hardly "managing your own" anything in an android phone either and I don't see how this makes sense, it's not like apple is some closed off ecosystem. The apps as far as I know are just as good and sometimes better than android. For anything they have that requires some bullshit apple account with your applemail to use applefax and itunes there is an android thing that requires a google account which is just as bad imho
google is almost worse than apple in that regard -

You can do that on iphone. Isn't apps all .apk files or is that android only? I don't know the first thing about iphone apps but im pretty sure you can download and run stuff not on the apple store exactly like android phones. I have never heard of that being a complaint about iphones and I think i've seen some "unofficial" software and it's like OOOH THIS IS A RISK
what pisses me off is develops seem baked into using one platform or another. like the twitter android NFt thing STIL ISn'T FUCKING RELEASED FOR ANDROID IT'S BEEN OVER A YEAR, or maybe it's out now idk I stopped paying for twitter blue. But it was Iphone only the entire time and I had to jump through hoops to get my octagon (and now NOBODY has octagons lol)

I did a epic android hack to trick the phone into giving me screens that can't even be accessed.. ended up only paying for the twitter blue and ETH gas fees. I did not feel like android was a superior platform during this time, I constantly get fucked by both sometimes both at the SAME TIME

okay yeah idk i dont make apps but it seems this is a popular one, you barely have to write any code at all it's all drag and drop shit. If you want to put anything besides login boxes or simple elements that will have to be coded in something
depending on your project but i see private apps or non store hosted things all the time, it's pretty common
