Doesn't it though??? I have a list of several "shades of black" all in hex form . I was under the impression hex is the PEN-ULTIMATE to express color, if you can add additional light on top of that that can't be expressed in hex than #PFFFDFTTFTTT who the fuck needs that much light. I mean we really only need 16 colors, beyond that you don't seem to gain that much really

full size one is 256 color dithering only, light dithering
(edit, the gif was so long I forgot theres a second half I had to make them seperate and combine them , wtf drugs)
this is literally 16 colors. Looks exactly the same to me. I bet side by side you could hardly tell
I frequently reduce my gifs to 16 colors, it can sometimes cut down the size 50% or more -

I know the resolution helps a lot but ive tried it with full size many times and even scenes from movies look not that bad
People are just spoiled and don't know how bad bad can get

cmyk is for dye-based coloring, like printing.
i never understand why they use K to represent black.
