Do you know why your alts are elementary to spot pualiwog? Because stupid is impossible to mask.
Beer was not "invented for kids". The first solid evidence of beer and brewing was discovered in a dig in Mesopotamia daring back to 4000 BCE and of Sumerian origin. The dig revealed, among other things, a tablet showing villagers drinking a beverage from a bowl with straws along with a poem/ode to Ninkasi, the patron goddess of brewing. This poem contained the oldest known recipe for making beer using barley from bread.
The more you know.
I know what your mind did to you though. The Puritans in the early Massachusetts colony drank beer thinking it was healthier than water. Those who only drank beer didn't get sick as often as thise who drank water. As they were unaware of the existence of pathogens they used Monty Python Holy Grail logic to reason beer was better for you than water.
They didn't give full strength beer to the children for obvious reasons. Instead they gave them what is sometimes refered to as "near beer". Near beer is fermented and brewed from grains that were already used in a previous batch of beer and therefore yielded a mipuch lower alcohol percentage than actual beer,
Somehow your overworked underwhelming pea brain retained some fragment of near beer in the Puritan new world and convoluted it into why beer was invented.
