CHILLICOTHE - A woman indicted Friday for breaking and entering was charged with rape this week involving a 12-year-old girl.
Specific details surrounding the arrest of Shakyra L. Silcott, 19, of 523 Eastern Ave., for rape haven't been released by Chillicothe police. The incident report indicates an officer had been patrolling in the area of the Yoctangee Park Annex when he spotted a vehicle in the annex with two people inside at 12:21 a.m. Monday.
The report lists no further details other than Silcott was arrested for rape and a 12-year-old girl is listed as the victim. Online court records reveal Silcott is being held on a $100,000 bond and ordered to stay away from the victim.

It's unclear whether the victim is the same 12-year-old allegedly found with Silcott inside Kmart after it closed just before midnight April 5. Police reported spotting the two riding on motorized wheelchair carts inside the store after they had responded to an alarm at the store.
Officials reported the two were arrested as they tried to escape out a rear door. When checking the store, officers found two duffle bags on the carts packed with various hygiene products.
A preliminary hearing on the rape charged has been slated for May 31 in Chillicothe Municipal Court while an arraignment on the breaking and entering indictment is scheduled for June 5 in Ross County Common Pleas Court.
