Police investigate shooting in Dover
We are currently investigating a shooting that occurred in the southeast community of Dover this morning, leaving one man injured.
At approximately 5:40 a.m. today, Sunday, Feb. 19, 2023, police were called to the 3400 block of 35 Avenue S.E., for reports that a man had been shot. Upon arrival, officers located a man in medical distress, suffering from what appeared to be a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to hospital in non-life-threatening condition.
This incident is believed to be targeted, and investigators are in the process of examining CCTV and speaking to witnesses to determine potential suspects.
Investigators are seeking CCTV and dashcam footage from the 3400 block of 35 Avenue S.E., and surrounding area, between 5 and 6 a.m., on Sunday, Feb. 19, 2023.
