I went to class with members for 2 years. thats how I met my girlfriend who never Joined but did indie films going back to the early 1980s. and it cost 3000 to join. I was eve invited to a SAG award event by class members but chose not to go.
fuck that shit. Hollywood is not what it used to be and everyone is making indie films these days. the Union is going to fold in on itself. Writer guilds as well since there seems to be this equity thing where people have to wait.

yeah and you basically need to pay that its not like you can just tell them all to go fuck themselves and DO IT ON YA OWN because literally nobody will work with you
