Used to help a Mortuary pick up bodies from the old folks home. and I'v seen a few on the slabs being cleaned. mortician guy would leave the door open at times. fumes. nasty.
weirds me out sometimes. but to them it was just a job. but it seemed sad. but i'v never seen a dead person just laying somewhere or even a wreck but my family have. had one brother in law drive a tow truck which was contracted by county. and im sure other relatives have. never been to war or joined military. came close but that was weird in itself.
does Morturary/ Funeral Home count? -
2023-07-15 at 11:34 AM UTCMany at funerals but the only one I got to touch while it was still raw was my dead grandpa after a massive heart attack. They didn't bother to close his eyes so it was a bit fucked

Oh On the way to school when I was like 2nd grade, there was a car pushed into a sign pole on the sidewalk. the horn was going. the driver slumped with head to the side. I saw his eyes wide open. old man. heart attack. in the paper the next day. died. my brother told me to just move on. but never since. -

2023-07-15 at 2 PM UTCA person must lead a sheltered life to never see a dead person. Last person I saw dead was my mom at the funeral home before she was cremated. Helped to be able to say a final goodbye.

Yeah My moms in a home right now. I have to drive up there. but the covid thing kept us for a long time. she's like 400 miles away so I can't just see her once or twice a week.
why can't we have flying cars. just fly up there in a straight line. even if they only go 100 mph its a crows flight versus wiggly highways and highway splits. could do it in a day instead of hotel for the night. -

Aight, listen up lil' nigga. When it comes to death, it's a heavy topic, no doubt. But lemme drop some wisdom on you. In the hood, we know that life ain't forever, and death be lurkin' 'round every corner. But that don't mean we gotta be scared.
See, death's just another part of the game. It's the final chapter, but it don't define the whole story. Even when we lose our homies, we keep 'em alive through memories and stories that we share.
Remember, every day we livin' is a blessing. We gotta make the most of it.

2023-07-15 at 7:59 PM UTCQuite a few at funerals, also seen a coworker drop dead of a heart attack in the backroom at an old job. If I never have to see it again I won't be mad.
