It doesn't produce milk, however it's REQUIRED for milk production in women.

    Chingchong education strikes again

"Galactorrhea often results from having too much prolactin — the hormone responsible for milk production when you have a baby. Prolactin is produced by your pituitary gland, a small bean-shaped gland at the base of your brain that secretes and regulates several hormones."

..but yes, a post menopausal woman can still produce milk,

"A woman who is postmenopausal can still produce milk. Reproductive organs are not necessary to make milk, so long as a mother has a functioning pituitary gland."

A functioning one is required to produce milk is what I said, and that is still the case.
