instead you follow your own based on carnal desires and trying to live a worldly life while also rejecting their doctrine which is actively discouraged and punished. No half measures allowed, society doesn't care for any reasoning but it's own and you are essentially living in your own universe at this point alone on an island in the endless black void of space looking outside in to the earthly prison domain
Which means you aren't totally lost and can still find ultimate truth if you seek it out but you have no desire for anything but carnal and material things and base your code off this. Nothing more to be said really. I don't see why it's so hard for you to see it but you can lead a horse to water you can't make it drunk etc
