   .zip and .mov domains just got released to public also. journalist crying that people can send fake url that are actually files with malware.. but honestly can just install malware though auto download of websites with normal domains. journalist dont know shit about anything half the time and just read what other people say and reword it.

   I'm sure there are lots of lazy coders who have done things like "check if file ending = .zip, and if so then do x".
   
   So it could be a security threat allowing people to pass through URLs in place of file paths, though I can't really think of a specific instance of how.

   yeah basically creating a malware file that looks like a url link. and when someone clicks on it to go to that url it installs malware, but i mean.. you can just have malware auto download when going to a website anyways. It does leave out the step of making a website and setting up a domain etc. so less steps. but journalist acting like its some brand new exploit people are using when its nothing new
