Additional info....95% of my driving is too and from work in heavy houston traffic, 80 mile a day round trip.
I had a Camero before and it ate up the gas, but got me lots of attention which we all know I crave.
The Kia Forte is cheap, good on gas and has 100k miles warranty.

I drove a rental Kia recently. It had lane assist and cruise control, so when it got on the highway it drove itself. It'll be very hard going back to having to steer manually.

If money wasn't an issue I'd go with the Chevy for sure. With what you say you're going to be mainly using it for I'd probably get the Kia, it will be better on gas and you seem to have a helluva commute. I don't miss jobs like that lol

chevy isnt as reliable as kia (within the last 10 years), plus Camero parts are more expensive. Also convertibles typically have more issues, and less rigid frames and unibodies. Id go with the kia
with that being said. counter argument is that a lot of kia models might get recalled soon due to them being very easy to steal, as they might of not met the federal anti-theft requirements. I believe there are software updates, and they are fixing them free of charge, but its something to look into and see if this will affect that particular model of kia you might buy.

I drive a 2018 Forte and havent had any complaints about it, all it's needed in 50k miles was front brake pads.
