is they hate compliments and look at it like a weakness if you give them any sort of a compliment. they also tend to not say thank you ever if thye receive compliments. and if you say thank you for receiving any sort of work recognition or complment i think they also look at it as a weakness.

they don't want you complimenting them, it's not a total encompassing thing, it's most related to the person giving the compliment.

i was talking about their egos mostly in the work sense. When a manager or marketing coordinator was giving me and praise or congratulating anything here in poland i would usuyally say thank you right away most americans do its the normal thing to do. but this bitch with glasses from poland who calls herself a content writer without any training lol and barely able to write in english when anyone said anything good about her she just stood there in the video meetings not acknowledging it. its very common ive noticed with their culture here.
