I'm neutral on the royal fambly. They probably bring in tourist dollars, a lot of Americans probably visit England hoping to see one of them.
Of course I'm one of those tards that doesn't follow sports or know who the newest movie star or singer. Years ago Reagan visited my town, stayed home because he could visit me and save me some gas and time.
Yeah they pay their way 10 fold apparently, not just tourism but whenever they do their "Royal tours" of foreign lands what you don't hear about is the background deals which result in millions of GBP in foreign orders etc.
I like the concept of continuing to have a royal family but REAL royalty died with Queen Victoria...since then it's been spoiled rich kids with no moral compass.
Yeah I read they bring in more than they get from the gov. I think it's pretty nice having old traditions, this is what Americans miss being a young country.
Also read years back the Prince of Wales gets all money and property of people that die without family they can find. Apparently Charles donated all to charity which was good of him.
