I think it would be funnier if you used rubber bullets and could legally just ruin a teenager in that moment and make them fear death and incredible pain, legally. Nobody would care either, you might get an angry mom shake her fist at you. Or at least wing them in the leg.
Maybe they really did feel threatened like what if the girl was black and used a lot of ebonics and hand gestures and her much older boyfriend, also black was across the street in his jalopi, if I saw that I would assume it's a targeted BLACK PANTHER HIT
If I was American I would keep non lethals at the ready to unload on local neighborhood kids if they even stepped on the lawn to pick up their dogs crap in a baggie

The National Rifle Association is what's wrong with America. And the broken , corrupted political system where big corporations can grease the pockets of slimy politicians to compel them to enact legislation that is detrimental to the masses. Big-time conflicts of interests. And the fact that all politicians, regardless of political affiliation, are more interested in obtaining a high quality of life for themselves, rather than enacting legislation that will do the same for the general population.
