I got her a new computer, printer and scanner in november and sge still hasnt let me set them up because she doesnt want to lose all her "files" on the old PC (its like windows XP spreadsheets and shit that she hasnt looked at in 20 years).
If i take her to dinner, she'll order the cheapest thing or an appetizer and say shes not really hungry and her stomachs upset.
If i buy her clothes she'll say theyre very n8ce and i have good taste but theyre far too fancy and she doesnt go out anywhere.

My mom is similar. I bought her a new Macbook Air once, and she wouldn't accept it or use it for a very long time. Kept trying to make me take it.
GG is also like that, but in an awkward way, she'll take whatever you give her, but she won't actually use it. She has a nice laptop, a fancy tablet and an iPhone 13 Pro Max hidden away in her mom's place in Kiev.
My mom is selfless when it comes to me, GG is selfish. -

My mom passed away year and a half ago and we always liked it when I just showed up and bullshitted a few hours. Also I never care about official days, if someone needs something I help if I can.
