Satan took Jesus up to an unusually high mountain and offered him all the kingdoms of the world, if he would just bow down and offer a single act of worship. This goes to prove that Satan currently has legal control of this entire planet, authorized by God himself. Everything we see in the world belongs to Satan. Every system we see in the world is controlled by Satan. But every person in the world has free will, and the choice to do good or bad, to help or hurt, to live or die. Everything happens for a reason.

Jesus encountered a possessed man, able to break chains and throw off bonds, in a lonely gulch of the city. The man approached Jesus by asking, "Son of man! Why are you here? Is it already the appointed time?", and when Jesus asked in return for the man's name, he replied, "Our name is Legion, because we are many." This goes to prove that we are living in a set period of time, where Satan is in control and is the current King of this world.
