   Oh. Weirdly enough one of my coworkers brought in a spinner the other day and that's the first time I'd ever seen one. I was able to get it to spin for 1 minute and 34 seconds with 3 tries. Fun little gadget to just have sitting somewhere that you can give it a spin as you're passing by. Well maybe not FUN, but...cathartic I suppose.

   Yeah, they're pretty amusing, in a way. I shoplifted one a few years back. Should still have it buried somewhere.
   
   It's kind of a nice feeling, and sort of a good finger/forearm workout, once you get the motion down. IIRC the best way to describe it as that there's a certain "flow" to it, like, there's a certain motion it's going in and you have to go along with it, augment it, not go against it.
   
   People generally make the mistake of trying to go in perfect circular motion along with a rotation that's too large, it takes a smaller, smoother, movement to keep it going. Generally needs very little forearm movement, all in the wrist, although once you get it down you can move your entire arm around, hold it in different positions.
