I don't really get the appeal of most anime, especially the recent stuff

A few things on my list

    - visit akihabara and eat at a meido cafe
    - visit record store and buy a bunch of CDs
    - buy pantsu from vending machine
    - go to comiket
    - sit in a tiny room full of manga and VHS tapes and discuss panties with otaku just like in Genshiken
    - drink in an ally way bar
    - visit the hometowns of all my favorite game developers, musicians and anime directors
    - go to a few concerts
    - visit one of those game shows where they all engage in a mass orgy
    - pass out on top of a high school with a school girl while the Welcome To The NHK ost plays
    - stay the night in a net cafe
    - get a boat and cruise through canals like the intro to Ghost in the shell
    - camp out in jisatsu forest for a few days

If you want shonen with a focus on fighting, friendship, and getting strong:
Demon Slayer (set in early 1900s/late 1800s Japan, you get pretty much exactly what it says on the tin)
Attack on Titan (giant retards eat people and then it turns into a complex political drama punctuated be people murdering the giant retards)
My Hero Academia (kid goes to superhero hogwarts, lots of cool powers and fighting)
Chainsaw Man (just a broke horny nigga who wants to bust a nut and his adorable lil chainsaw dog against the world)
Mob Psycho 100 (psychic boy doesn't want to fight, world has other plans more often than he'd like)
Tokyo Revengers (main character is kind of a wimp, but a cool little time travelly-type story)
Dr. Stone (less "fighty", more "Science!™ is cool", but it's pretty good - CR has the first 2 seasons and the 40 minute ONA, season 3 currently airing)

If you want people being reincarnated in/transported to other worlds (isekai):
Mushoku Tensei (is amazing. peak animation quality, story telling, and the main character is a nonce who gets reincarnated in another world and spends most of the first season grooming his childhood friends - right up your alley, but worth watching even if that idea disgusts you because holy shit it's good)
Saving 80,000 Gold in Another World for my Retirement (was pretty good, if generic, with a fun premise - only recommending it because GATE isn't on CR, and it has some GATE vibes toward the end)
Konosuba (but if you aren't familiar with isekai tropes already maybe this isn't amazing, it's kind of a parody of isekai, so drown yourself in in the deluge of shitty isekai anime before you check it out - it's peak comedy)

If you just want some action with a good ass historical stories:
Golden Kamuy (set in early 1900s, main character is a Japanese veteran of the Russo-Japanese war)
Vinland Saga (a viking story set in the early 11th century, around the time of Canute - REALLY good. the second half of season 2 is currently airing, which isn't particularly action packed, but CR apparently has season 1 now so watch it.)

If you want cute girls being cute:
Onimai: I'm Now Your Sister! (dude gets reincarnated as a little girl, i think - i haven't watched it, but the studio behind Mushoku Tensei did it and I've heard great things about the animation quality)
Bochi The Rock! (cute high school girl with social anxiety wants to be a rock star)

    Romance:
My Dressup Darling (it's so fucking cute i can't even sifaojugnaoihnai)

For anime airing this season/currently, most of which I've only seen 1 or 2 episodes of:
    Vinland Saga (like I said)
Hell's Paradise (looking to be absolutely goated, it's about a ninja and his hot samurai dommy mommy executioner-to-be -if he acts up- going to a mystical island to find an elixir of immortality)
My Home Hero (what will happen to you if you molest anyone's kids)
MASHLE: MAGIC AND MUSCLES (musclebro gigachad goes to actual hogwarts despite not being a wizard)
KamiKatsu: Working for God in a Godless World (isekai)
Dead Mount Death Play (reverse isekai - guy from fantasy world gets reincarnated in Japan)
I Got a Cheat Skill in Another World and Became Unrivaled in The Real World, Too (exactly what it says on the tin, kinda stupid, watch it if you hate your family and wish you were hotter, smarter, and stronger than everyone)

    Maybe:
Konosuba: An Explosion on this wonderful world! (this is a currently airing spinoff prequel to the main series, and not an isekai, so you could maybe watch it now - but a lot of jokes would probably fall flat if you aren't familiar with the character it's centered on/the world the show is set in)

I don't think CR has LOGH, I had to watch it on HiDive when I finally decided to get through it. You should really sit down and get through it too, aldra. Right up your alley. I was gonna link the history of earth documentary, but I guess it got taken down for being a little too real for shitlibs - only parts 2 and 3 are still up on youtube. Pathetic.

i csnt believe they cancelled the second season. this show could have been a way ro finish off the entire stoey of sll chapters without the games needing to be funded and made (last one was horrible co pared to the original two dreamcast gsmes btw). i wonder also how many people got into thr story or shows thst never played the original game? do you guys think it was mostly just the fans thwt watched it wnd it should be twken ad a fan homage and thst is why it fould not fstch on to justify a second season or it briught in new fans or audiences?
