Helional Voldemelon MDMA

MDMA is usually made from Safrole, PMK or MDP2P. But certain companies exist that sell a perfume chemical called Helional which can easily be converted to MDMA.[FONT=Verdana]Although at least for MOST clandestine and/or hobbyist chemists/biologists peptide synthesis whilst hardly difficult from a technical/procedural POV does fall far outside the realms of what those chemists and their wannabe, cook-book hangers-on[/FONT]
[FONT=Verdana]just because for say, those used to doing the oximation/beckmann/hoffman degredation on voldemelon, or the usual routes to the essential amphetamines from their corresponding phenylpropenoids derived from the correct plant and/or seed oils is quite different. I doubt totally that I myself would bee incapable of getting my waggledance on and managing linear peptides of modest length given a suitable starting aminoacid, after all most of it is just protect, deprotect, protect, deprotect. Nothing special, just totally outside the sphere of experience of most wasps and many bees.[/FONT]

"To a solution of 10 grms NaOH in 200 mls H2O in a 500 mls flask is added 20 grmsof the amide and 250 grms of 4.2 % NaOCl . The mixture is then heated to 80C with stirring. At about 50 to 60C the mixture can become white as the carbonate forms. At 70-80C an oil separates. (This is crude MDA). The solution was cooled and extracted with xylene. The solution was enhancemented and the filtrate washed with xylene and the xylene portions added together. About 100 mls of conc HCL was added to the xylene shaken and separated. The aqueous solution was extracted with xylene and the xylene separated. The amine was then liberated from the aqueous portion with NaOH and worked up in the usual way to give MDA" -

Sounds like they are making HCl salt of MDA via the aqueous method
AQEOUS SALTIJG?? I HAVENT HEARD THAT NAME IN YEARS most people do the GAS and I heard that using aqueous acids to form salt is only preferred in very large amounts where the amount of gas needed would render any typical lab into a WW1 battlefield -
