2023-03-13 at 8:14 PM UTCMost scientists freely admit that carbon dating is an extremely flawed method of dating. So, when they say "tens of thousands of years" and "millions of years", what they're really saying is we don't know Jack shit, but we're still going to pretend that we do.

Flawed doesn't mean "completely wrong" it means it works but not so accurately in this instance...so 10,000 yrs might be 8,500 years.
..and no it's not MOST scientists as most scientists have nothing to do with carbon dating and don't know anything about it!
A zoologist for example doesn't know anymore about carbon14 dating than wariat does about dating a 15yr old. -

Originally posted by Jiggaboo_Johnson Well lets remember the bible also said God built the Earth and everything in 6 days….clearly his days are 35.2 million Earth years long. making his 6000 years actually 4.5 billlion Earth years.
Our days aren't equal to God's days. In fact, God doesn't have days. The Bible just puts it in figurative terms of days. The place where God resides exists in the past, the present and the future, simultaneously. It's a quantum environment. -

Economics Explained, a fairly popular economics YouTube channel has released a lengthy video detailing several macroeconomic trends that threaten to lower economic productivity and limit growth in both developed and developing economies, with the fallout projected to hurt developing countries the most (as is typical). Many adults in the US and other developed countries have known decades of steady economic growth fueled by globalization and generous monetary policy, but those systems may be reaching their limit which could lead to a vastly different global future. On the optimistic side we might have gradual declines in our standards of living and societal wealth; but of course there is always the chance for unexpected challenges and sociopolitical discord or societal unrest as a result. The video lacks solutions to any of the problems presented.
