BAP's been talking a lot about how the CIA has actually supported and even created communist movements, mostly in Europe and Africa.
why though? off the top of my head maybe there were pro-communist mid to low level operators working their own goals, or maybe they were intentionally creating opposition to weaken governments, but neither really fits in all circumstances -
