Colorado River crisis brings ‘very dry’ reality to US West

Sometimes referred to as the “American Nile”, the Colorado River is the lifeblood of the western United States, supplying drinking water to tens of millions of people across the region and in Mexico.

But the 2,330km (1,450-mile) waterway, which stretches from its Colorado headwaters to the Gulf of California, is in crisis. Years of intense drought worsened by climate change, coupled with growing populations and intensive water use for agriculture, have led to historically low river levels.

Documents show how a pipeline company paid Minnesota millions to police protests

This is just the next step in the process, though it has been going on for years already. Just look at all the private protection agencies that are already available to be hired and getting the police onboard to protect corporate and wealthy private interests will just continue.

If individuals feel they are part of something “bigger”, get the compensation they need, are able to show they are in control, they will follow the leader. We know where the money and power is and they know how to use it.

Eventually it will just become more and more mainstream and the media, the ones controlled by the people in power, will continue to defend and promulgate this behavior, all disguised at protecting you and yours.

    Enjoy the show…

dunno if you guys heard about the police doorknocking a guy here, getting into a shootout and killing the family and their neighbour

looks like the gunfight was provoked over a gas company wanting to drill on their land

the company massively sponsored the local police to the extent where there were complaints over police vehicles having their logo on them

What's wrong with policing protests? They were just ensuring there was no damage to the highly valuable pipeline.

If Healthcare were a right doctors would be required to render services regardless of ability to pay. That would be theft of services. Are you really that stupid?
