You'll ever heard of laser jet printers, they can even use lasers now to print a whole jet

actually possible with powdered metal 3d printing, just expensive and slow as shit

theyre already printing plastics this way.

i saw the other day of them making custom glasses frames with 3d lazer printers.

I know you can use green lasers to heat stuff up and cut through sytrofoam

Louis Ranger shoot me in the head when I walk around the desert and then and then the laser beams force me to evacuate my sanity and to crazy things like accuse everyone around me of shooting me in the head with lasers.

Is it the government? My doctors? Who knows?!

You know what else sucks? Waking up healthy and happy, best day all year and the LASER BEAMS messing it all up. I have collapsed on the ground multiple times today and convulsed in pain from this torture.

All sexual deviations and rapists, murderers, MKultra CIA are caused by the MALICIOUS Laserbeams! they wrecked every aspect of my life. I cant eat.

Haven't slept in days… CONSTANT HEADACHE CANT BE NEAR LIGHT

    CANT LEAVE HOUSE

Sometimes I think its all in my head.. then I realize THATS EXACTLY WHERE THEY AIM THE WHERE (what are they doing?)

LASER BEAMING ME IN THE FUCKING HEAD!!!

iTS BECAUSE OF THE FUCKING LASER BEAMS!!!!

Thanks to THEM they can shoot me in the head and project all my thoughts onto the minds of those arrouund me.

One time at a public gathering I was struck and everyone turned their heads and stared at me. THey knew all the things I had done ever since childhood. I could just feel the hate and then I collapsed from being laser beamed too much and people thought I was one drugs.

You're all mistaking a jet with a jet engine.

I think sintering is weaker but I see tech more for its future potential, I think we will use AI to control large scale multimaterial 3D printing machines to create complicated machines on-order at first until the tech just gets so damn good that the gap between "stuff used to prototype 1" and "stuff used to mass manufacture 10 million" diminishes to basically nothing.

"3D printing" and automated manufacturing et al will just converge and blur into one

That will realistically be the closest we will ever come to Star Trek replicators.

You will have different scales of multimat assemblers/printers.

I have been interested in the Japanese vending machine culture, market and industry recently.

I saw a video about Japanese coffee vending machines with a cute little "virtual barista experience" on a small LCD screen on the face of the machine.

Some had a prerecorded video of a fancy cafe preparation, some showed a live camera feed of the coffee being prepared inside the machine.

There is enough specialized processing involved in consumer end products that probably a "general purpose replicator" is of a totally different tech scale than we have now and instead existing different classes of vending machines will just expand in their capabilities until there is significant overlap and they can be rolled into fewer categories that can be adapted for broad ranges of products.

Only with powerful enough lasers can you manipulate matter at a fine enough scale and then you need many non laser materials to manipulate.

I think with AI, the "customer service experience" will eventually converge to where each vending machine will essentially have a little virtual daemon inside whose only purpose is to generate perfect and novel to-standard customer service experiences personal to each customer, in stupid little use cases like vending machines, because that R&D and tech is much much cheaper and more scalable ultimately than real coffee shops with human baristas.

In combination with basic laser economics, this means we will eventually be able to create custom laser based products including 100% laser based nutrition.

There is a cool laser crystal 3D etching method ("Bubblegram") that essentially uses the same method as a gamma knife (intersecting 2 sub-melting point energy beans to create 1 controlled point of heat within the structure) to internally melt glass into cool 3D art.

If you had a laser so strong it was 50% as much energy needed to make a black hole at a point per photon and you intersected 2, you could make a virtual black hole made of light that you could turn on and off at will.
