I'm guessing they've used the recently-released NSA tools to attack Disney and Netflix, which is depressingly ironic because this will be used as justification to give more power to groups meant to police the internet and further crush personal rights. -

It used to be you'd need a bank deposit or cash or fucking something that could connect to you in some way. Now you can hold Pirates of the Caribbean for ransom and potentially be completely anonymous in doing it. I wonder if they'll end up releasing it.

The Prince and the Frog should have been: The Kaiser and the Frog.
ONTOPIC: Hey aldra, did you follow the WannaCry ransomware outbreak over the weekend. It was quite epic. It targeted hosts at random by attacking the SMB service on MicroCock boxes, once it got a foothold it then it ran DoublePulsar and EternalBlue from the NSA exploit kit to spread over the network. Once there it dropped the wCry ransomware. It infected 200k boxes in a day until the C2 domain was sinkholed. Get this, the operator had left a kill-switch in place that sinkholed their own C2 domains, it was probably a debugging artifact. Lol, but a couple hours after the domains were sinkholed a bunch of new ones popped up AND the operators had nigger-patched the original, plus now that it was out in the wild everyone got their hands on samples and just changed small bits with a HEX editor and such and boom a new variant was born. It was quite the spectacle to see unfolding on Twitter and such. -
