Larry's stand up opening was like.. hey everybody 2020 has been such a crazy year but I'm here to make it a little better. I want to talk about the ridiculousness of social distancing. I have a friend who just got vaccinated and they were so excited that they went to the grocery store and did a socially distanced dance.

And then they went to the show where Larry says a new kind of ice cream was invented and it's made with pickles, Yvonne said she has to try it and will report back how it was.

Omg then Larry did standup and.saod all of the cats in his neighborhood have grown mustaches so he decided to start a mustache grooming business for cats. People look at him funny when he tells them about the business he is in, but he just shrugs and says.. ITS A LIVING

Omfg Yvonne was talking shit about Fred's toupee and Fred kastopolis was like ...why do I even bother and Larry said .. why do you even bother and there's been a 5minute awkward silence , buy Yvonne went and sat on Fred for a bit.

Now it's silence , they move around occasionally and the angle changes. The chatters are declaring SEASON FINALE, and FRED IS ON STRIKE

It ended with Fred and Jerry standing in the corner next to each other holding hands staring at thr wall. Finally the TV guide started and ended it

    ...

Larry did a stand up bit that he wanted to go to the grocery store to get some dinner, until he realized everything was closed because it was Wednesday. He decided the best thing to do was to go to the grocery store to get som3 Mac and cheese.

In line the lady in front of him was buying a package of steak and the cashier asked her if she wanted to dollar to charity. She said yes. Wen the cashier ran me up he asked me I'd I want to donate a dollar to charity, I said no thanks Mac and cheese doesn't have feelings. Everyone was dead silent until the lady at the back of the line burst out laughing.
    ..

At the apartment, Yvonne suggested that they get a pet, and that Fred will be the one who walks it. Fred asked why he has to be throne that walks it and Yvonne told him he had to walk it because it was his idea to get a pet. Fred understood and said we s
Hould geta cat. Now he's doing a stand up but about his wife buying a new washing machine that uses so much detergent he's spending 3x as much on detergent as before

Interesting, so they are using Unity 3D engine to do all this.

yeah Unity's probably the easiest 3D engine for most people to get started with, which is why there are so many shitty and not optimised at all indie games on steam

I just want to make a 2D thing that's like digimon, I don't think unity would be suited for that. But an engine would save me so much in having to code literally everything by hand when I know very little fundamentals of coding like a script kiddie

Unreal actually seems like it would be good to work with but I have had trouble running BEEFY engines before. I found some cool ones recently but I can't fucking remember them I have been cracking out too much on too many things they must have got lost in the soup, fucking christ that 2D engine I found was cool but I forgot to bookmark it

    what the fuck is umbrello

I've never used Unreal myself but I believe it has a lot of c++ hooks so you'd need to learn some

Oh well maybe i'm on the right path then because I want the "game" to be able to run in browsers/phones/desktop easily with a lot of portability

I've probably downloaded and messed with every open source/public digital monster/virtual monster homebrew shit that's out there, it's a pretty cool community that has been making these wild devices for their tamogachis for years, don't even get me started on the CREATURES and VIRTUAL SEA MONKEY communities

They are all obsessed with their specific things though and just want to make engines/hardware to enhance their games
But it's giving me ideas, if virtual pet people go to such lengths I think there could be a "market" for a thing that basically does all of that
and runs on any hardware like a jailbroken Gameboy even instead of being railroaded into some gay SOUJABOY type device which is what literally every company would do / does do (probably more money in selling hardware than software especially if you make it a closed ecosystem)

There doesn't really exist a product like a true "DIGIMON" at least how it was depicted in the early anime

    wtf am I talking about

probably just do it in HTML5 then

you can also try the 'rapid' development game engines, AppGameKit can deploy to multiple platforms and should be pretty good considering they made Risk of Rain with it

Yeah so far I've just been trying to code really simple stuff in html5 since Its one of the few languages I'm familiar with

ChatGPT is apparently better at certain languages than others also. Not sure which, i got it to make some stuff in Pascal that worked

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nothing,_Forever

"The concept of Nothing, Forever was envisioned by Skyler Hartle, a product manager at Microsoft Azure, and Brian Habersberger, a polymer physicist, in 2019. The show takes inspiration from Rabbits, a series of web films created by American filmmaker David Lynch, and the show's original premise was an homage to the American sitcom Seinfeld. Hartle said that the work "originally started its life as this weird, very, off-center kind of nonsensical, surreal art project. But then we kind of worked over the years to bring it to this new place. And then, of course, generative media ... just kind of took off in a crazy way over the past couple of years". Hartle and Habersberger formed Mismatch Media in 2022, in collaboration with Jakob Broaddus, Zale Bush, Nic Freeman, Edward Garmon, and Stanley Janoski.
The character of Larry Feinberg delivering a stand-up routine, in the first season of the livestream

The first season's cast of characters included Larry Feinberg, Yvonne Torres, Fred Kastopolous, and Zoltan Kakler, parodies of Jerry Seinfeld, Elaine Benes, George Costanza, and Cosmo Kramer, respectively.

Viewers can interact with the livestream through Twitch's chat function; in contrast to most television shows, the narrative in Nothing, Forever can change depending on the reactions of the viewers. A fictitious 1990s-style TV channel guide with nonsensically generated show names periodically interrupts the show while new scripts of dialogue are generated.

The second season replaces the original cast of characters with Leo Borges, Nick Sterling, Kelly Coffee and Manfred Fredman. Instead of delivering a stand-up comedy routine, the main character, Leo, starts each episode by writing on his personal blog:"
