You will soon see giant ultra high altitude balloon weapons carrying dense, glider style kinetic hammer projectiles similar to "rods from god" but much smaller and with glider guidance (glidance) for precision non-explosive strikes.
They will possess some significant explosive terminal "gunshot" booster phase that will detonate right before impact to deliver the kill but the warhead itself will probably be something along the lines of the R9X's bladed weapon.
