   There should be a threshold, like 2000 posts or something before you can request one, and it should go to community vote. A poll feature would be good but in the meantime it can be done by thanks or concensus or whatever.

    not at all, just an idea to make sure anyone who wants a usertitle is an actual member of the community and what they get is fitting, not just what they want
    
    if you mean the minimum post count thing it'd probably be bypassed for someone like you considering you've been around since totse and don't regularly change your name
