why do I keep coming back to this -
2023-02-03 at 6:03 AM UTCThey should easily be able to pay for this if uits only $1400/mo with 10k active viewers lol holy shit some of those clips have a lot of views
anti AI people on twitter are saying this is bullshit they are stealing viewers with no effort!! copyright! -
2023-02-03 at 6:13 AM UTCyeah, all of the popular arguments are shortsighted and gay
what happens when you can easily generate a video of someone doing or saying anything you want? what happens when you can't tell whether anything - video, audio, text - is real or not?
how do you prove a case in court?
how do you present evidence of a crime?
how can anyone be held to account?
I asked this years ago, don't think I ever got a serious response -
2023-02-03 at 6:13 AM UTCtrust and consensus are fake and gay and soon they'll be the only measure of reality, which is kind of fitting

lol lmao
My brudder, please reconsider your view of art: 99% of art being made already has no soul. You think the guy writing the upbeat track for a corporate seminar's introductory video was really feeling it? No. You think the people drawing the ubiquitous flat modern corporate clipart are really pouring their hearts and souls into it? No. This goes back centuries, too - artists need to eat, so they'll paint your cat if you pay their rent for the month. Do they care about your cat? Are they really feeling a "cat" vibe today? Does it have literally anything to do with them other than their technical proficiency with a brush and desire for your wallet's contents? Fuck no. The art is entirely external from the soul.
The most you can hope for with commissioned work is that it's a paid opportunity for artists to hone their craft, try out new techniques, etc. Within reason, of course. They still have a customer to please - assuming they want to eat - so they usually don't go hawg wild. (Notable exception: the Mona Lisa was a commission for an Italian noble. Of course, Da Vinci also kept the painting instead of giving it to her, and is it even a commission at that point? Technically, maybe. In spirit? Doesn't seem like it.)
PS: This isn't even getting into the argument for AI art that I personally consider most persuasive, namely "it's just another tool for artists and would-be artists". If you have beauty in your head but have hands made of lead, why should your soul never see itself expressed in the material world? It's not like the AI is spitting this stuff out without oversight or input. Someone is guiding the AI to create an image they want to see. No different from guiding a paintbrush (or a human artist on commission, as it were).
PPS: Classic brush-and-easel painters said the same thing about digital artists 20 years ago. That it was "soulless". I wonder... how many people said graphic art and digital paintings were soulless, then went on to receive great acclaim for their soulful artwork? I'm guessing very few.

islam already forsaw this coming and proposed that only testimonies of 3 or more human witnesses are acceptable as evidence. -
2023-02-03 at 7:36 PM UTCDoes it use the chat as inspiration for the show? I gave my friend the link and he said everyone was going MICROWAVE MICROWAVE and then Larry and Fred slithered over to the kitcjen and started pressing the buttons
And then, and then, and then
He told me people were saying GAY LARRY GAY LARRY and he started talking about going on a camping date with a guy and then kramler started wilding out -
2023-02-03 at 7:47 PM UTCNot sure.
I asked in the discord if the standup was the start/end . People were asking about the chat ( I'm guessing maybe not??? Or maybe it does I notice the same type of stuff) and if it learns as it goes or if there's some thing they have to do
The devs are quiet i didn't get an answer but I did learn that Larry has stage fright sometimes which is why he doesn't show up on mic occasionally -

Nothing, Forever is a show about nothing, that happens forever. Kinda like popular sitcoms of the past, except that it never stops.
Nothing, Forever is always-on, runs 365 days of the year, and delivers new content every minute.
Everything you see, hear, or experience (with the exception of the artwork and laugh track) is always brand new content, generated via machine learning and AI algorithms.

disappointed but unsurprised to find out that the "nothing, forever" guys are also AI grifters who think that their dumb infinite seinfeld thing is a first step toward a bright future of unlimited generative content instead of an awkward, surreal freestanding riff
the infinite seinfeld stream throws to jerry's standup after every scene because it obviously has no capacity to create a storyline that lasts for more than one scene
I watched it for about fifteen minutes and the only thing it produced that resembled seinfeld was a scene where jerry announced that the city made it illegal to sell brownies in the park and in response elaine immediately decided that she would start selling brownies in the park
kramer said she should sell a type of brownies that contained chocolate-covered potato chips that he called "chippiz"
I would watch an actual episode of seinfeld about chippiz
