Climate predictions have mostly come true

20 years on, climate change projections have come true

There's that word again "predict" ..very scientific

Predictions are NOT seeing something FIRST HAND

They were predictions, now they are reality.

It wasn't a reality back then when he said he could SEE FIRSTHAND what is only NOW a (scoff) reality (which it isn't even today).

Even when spoon-fed a series of lists of climate change predictions that are now the reality we are living in, this guy just wants to keep his head buried as deep as he can. Capitalize all the words you like, it won't make your denial of reality any less ridiculous.

Anyone who has studied mathematics can "predict" the answer to a question like 2 + 2 = X. It isn't even a prediction, they can see the answer in the equation. To suggest people who study climate science can't do the same thing, even when provided all the evidence that they have already done so, is intellectually dishonest.

Record drought gripped much of the U.S. in 2022, Nation struck with 18 billion-dollar disasters

The year 2022 was marked by numerous severe weather events, devastating hurricanes and deadly flooding across the U.S. This included a record-breaking drought, 18 separate billion-dollar weather and climate disasters, an above-average hurricane season, an above-average number of tornadoes, and extensive wildfires across the western U.S. and Alaska. The total cost of these disasters exceeded $165 billion, making 2022 the third most costly year on record. This is a concerning reminder of the climate crisis and serves as a warning of the potential consequences of further inaction.

  8. Your problem, Obbe, is that the sources you so like to rely on as gospel are highly dubious.

Yes, I really should follow your example and rely on cartoon memes and fairy tales instead.

As much as anything you have ever posted. What? Did you actually think you are making the world safer from itself one post at a time?

No, as I have told you before I do this for fun. I am not concerned with "making the world better". Do you have alzheimer's?

Did you actually think I am being "useful" to someone, by posting links to news articles and studies on a dead website that only 6 people post on? Who do you think I am "useful" to, the wealthy elite? They have their own analysts and PR gurus, they covered up the climate change projections that were available decades ago, remember?

    That would be three wrongs.

    In case you forgot:

They KNEW: Exxon made ‘breathtakingly’ accurate climate predictions in 1970s and 80s

The oil giant Exxon privately “predicted global warming correctly and skilfully” only to then spend decades publicly rubbishing such science in order to protect its core business, new research has found.
  16. Corporations are dishonest creeps! Who knew!!?
