    Caught lying again...

"The National Science Board's Patterns and Perspectives in Environmental Science report of 1972 discussed the cyclical behavior of climate, and the understanding at the time that the planet was entering a phase of cooling after a warm period."

If you kept reading you would have found this under the "ice-age fallacy" tab:

A common argument used to dismiss the significance of human-caused climate change is to allege that scientists showed concerns about global cooling which did not materialise, and there is therefore no need to heed current scientific concerns about global warming.[54] In a 1998 article promoting the Oregon Petition, Fred Singer argued that expert concerns about global warming should be dismissed on the basis that what he called "the same hysterical fears" had supposedly been expressed earlier about global cooling.[55]

Bryan Walsh of Time magazine (2013) calls this argument "the Ice Age Fallacy". Illustrating the argument, for several years an image had been circulated of a Time cover, supposedly dated 1977, showing a penguin above a cover story title "How to Survive the Coming Ice Age". In March 2013, The Mail on Sunday published an article by David Rose, showing this same cover image, to support his claim that there was as much concern in the 1970s about a "looming 'ice age'" as there was now about global warming.[56] After researching the authenticity of the magazine cover image, in July 2013, Walsh confirmed that the image was a hoax, modified from a 2007 cover story image for "The Global Warming Survival Guide".[54]

Oh I kept reading...but you stated the ice age thing was push by the media NOT scientists..you were WRONG. There WERE scientists who suggested a coming possible ice age.

    Try to pay attention

    ETA:

By the 1970s, scientists were becoming increasingly aware that estimates of global temperatures showed cooling since 1945, as well as the possibility of large scale warming due to emissions of greenhouse gases. In the scientific papers which considered climate trends of the 21st century, less than 10% were inclined towards future cooling, while most papers predicted future warming"

less than 10% is still scientists saying it...

    Stay in school kid.

That's all they do is make shit up. They lie, then they lie, then they lie again. Then they look at you with a "what??" look.

Less than 10% were inclined towards global cooling... what percentage were inclined towards an ice age?

    Semantics Nigel.

Just as a 2C increase in average global temperatures isn't going to result in the catastrophic events being predicted by the global warming scientists...

Different shade of the same bullshit.

Sounds like you just don't want to admit your claim is wrong.

Sounds like your burying your head in the sand to ignore the truth...just do your research small fry instead of believing what the media tells you

Maybe it sounds that way to you, but those sounds must be pretty muffled when your head is stuck up your own ass like that. Less than 10% were inclined towards cooling trends while the majority were inclined towards warming trends. You have failed to support your claim that there were scientists predicting an ice age and have actual demonstrated the majority of scientists at the time predicted the opposite.

Doesn't explain why you and all the other corporate cronies here seem to think that all the scientists in the 70's were calling for an ice age. I wonder why all you boomers fell for the same propaganda when 90% of the studies at the time claimed the opposite 🤔.

  17. These scams are nothing more than "vehicles" for much larger schemes that have nothing at all to do with the topic at hand. Most people are so brainwashed and simped by the government and their army of fake and paid-off so-called "scientists" (who are receiving billions of dollars in easy money from the very scammers themselves) to see it. They're too far gone. Totally programmed. Beyond hope! Like OBBE!!

Reminder that collapse isn't just about climate change; the Healthcare system is collapsing too:

  19. Obbe Alan What? [annoy my right-angled speediness]
We are watching the collapse of our healthcare system in real time. The population is living longer (although life expectancy is starting to trend back down) and an ever-increasing proportion is old and sick. Couple all of this with a skeleton crew of a healthcare team. The current delivery model is no longer sustainable.

It always seems like the media reports healthcare to be on the BRINK of collapse... as if a super hero will step in and solve all the problems at the last minute. When will the media finally say it is collapsing or it has collapsed? Nurses that I know say it already has collapsed. Is it because they don't want people to panic? Do they want people to accept the current state as just "Oh, well. Business as usual?"

Before covid an ambulance waiting 4 hours outside the hospital to even unload a patient just to wait in the hall another two hours for a bed, that would have been called a collapse of the system.

Now we just call that tuesday and moved the goal posts of collapse further down the field. What exactly that is I don't know. Maybe stacking bodies in trucks, but we've done that already.
