Here is my bill. Chain for the chain saw=$32.00 rounded up. Heet water remover $2.80 Carb spray $5.00 Snowblower prep,included full cleaning of the fuel system, air in the tires and a carburetor blow job that worked and an oil change. The fucking thing runs mint now.. OH I didn't include fresh gas in the price I guess that's just taken for granted. God forbid I mention the time and expense it takes to drive to these places with the shit I need to fix shit that's not mine. Now the chain saw prep and maintenance. I removed the bar and chain and inspected the bar it looked ok. Needed a little tlc with some burs and shit. So new chain- cleaned the air enhancement cleaned the rotten fuel out. Charged 1 hour for my time. And now I'm a BAD MAN. WHO'S John Gault Mother fuckers

That said what do you mean by "here is my bill"? Was it your bill in the sense that you had to you pay that out of pocket and only got $20 in return? Or is that what you billed them? Because actually yeah it's kind of fucked up to be charging one off clients for parts and repairs to your own damn equipment like that, especially if you just tack it on the invoice without negotiating that kind of thing beforehand. Like, you should be charging enough hourly to cover those additional expenses (but then you wouldn't be able to offer competitive rates like $20/hr ig).

Fuck I was out of it when I made that post. In a nutshell I did a bunch shit for my in-laws and my wife got an attitude when I wanted to charge them 20 bucks an hour. Nothing direct but it was snide and snerky shit and I was just venting on a forum that has less traffic than myspace right now. Now I'm being snide and snerky.
