Children born today will see literally thousands of animals disappear in their lifetime, as global food webs collapse

Climate change is one of the main drivers of species loss globally. We know more plants and animals will die as heatwaves, bushfires, droughts and other natural disasters worsen.

But to date, science has vastly underestimated the true toll climate change and habitat destruction will have on biodiversity. That’s because it has largely neglected to consider the extent of “co-extinctions”: when species go extinct because other species on which they depend die out.

Antarctic Sea ice extent hits a new record low, possibly heading to set the most significant negative anomaly ever observed in the satellite era

The sea ice extent in Antarctica has reached its lowest recorded extent at the end of December 2022, with an area of 580,000 square kilometers lower than the record low for the end of December. This decrease is in stark contrast to the Arctic, where sea ice has been decreasing at a substantial rate for the past few decades. Additionally, the Antarctic sea ice extent has been increasing at a rate of about 1.7 % per decade, yet the large negative anomaly seen at the end of December 2022 is a cause for concern. As sea ice extent decreases, the risk of global sea level rise increases due to melting ice sheets and glaciers, and the expansion of warmed seawater. This is an important issue for the future generations and is a cause for alarm.

And we're all going to die, right?

Warmer means more agricultural friendly land gets thawed.

Back when I was a teen they said we where heading into an ice age but now we're going to get hot enough to melt all the ice and flood people out.

Hey niggas the earth is always changing and humans adapt or die. I personally don't believe in human climate change and think it all depends on the suns output. But no reason to not stop putting shit in our air or water.

That's the crux of the scam right there. They want to keep on polluting the air, the water, the food and the ecosystem for massive profits, so they create this diversionary tactic hoax as a distraction. They're going to literally pick poor people's pockets to change the weather. Instead, of them being the enemy, they make you into the enemy. If you don't care about the ecosystem, well then, you must be some sort of terrorist or racist, so we're going to drain every last cent from you. The Hive Mind Collective nods and continues shewing its cud, all comfy and warm in the blissful stink of its ignorance and mindless virtue-signaling. Gotta give it to Klaus, Bill and George, they're very clever.

No, death is just another scam.

    About That 1970s Global Cooling...

Today, climate scientists tell us the Earth is warming. Some people deny that, and point out that in the 1970s, climate scientists said the Earth was cooling, perhaps headed into another ice age. Today's scientists counter that it wasn't climate scientists who said that, it was the media.

… the fundamental observation that dominates today's climate science — that global warming is happening and is driven by manmade carbon dioxide emissions — was as real then as it is today.

On the contrary, we have evidence that climate change is already reducing agricultural output.

Apparently the cartoonist responded, but instead of providing sources, he copy-pasted a 5,000 word blog titled “124 Years of Failed Climate and Environmental Predictions” – except it only included 92 examples, many citing Victorian-era weather forecasts, general discussions about the Ice Age and quotes from people who aren’t “actual” scientists.

Not all of the changes are negative: Some crop yields have increased in some locations ….. In contrast, some more drought-tolerant crops have benefited from climate change. Yields of sorghum, which many people in the developing world use as a food grain, have increased by 0.7% in sub-Saharan Africa and 0.9% yearly in western, southern and southeastern Asia due to climate shifts since the 1970s … In the United States corn and soybeans are important cash crops, with a combined value of more than US$90 billion in 2017. We found that climate change is causing a small net increase in yields of these crops – on average, about 0.1% and 3.7% respectively each year.

it seems like climate change is also causing a decrease of literacy in people between the age of 18-59.

Seems like you enjoy your hopium.

Overall, however, climate change is reducing global production of staples such as rice and wheat. And when we translated crop yields into consumable calories – the actual food on people’s plates – we found that climate change is already shrinking food supplies. Our study showed that climate change is reducing consumable food calories by around 1% yearly for the top 10 global crops. This may sound small, but it represents some 35 trillion calories each year. That’s enough to provide more than 50 million people with a daily diet of over 1,800 calories – the level that the U.N. Food and Agriculture Organization identifies as essential to avoid food deprivation or undernourishment.

humans have been known to plant drought resistant paddies in drought prone areas.
