from 1963 to today, "clifford the big red dog" is a childrens story/cartoon/character/movies/etc about a little white girl who gets a tiny puppy and its kind of a runt so no one wants it, then it starts growing (I can't remember why) and it gets to be about the size of a house and he loves the 1 person who loved him as a puppy more than anything. So they basically solve problems/have adventures/teach kids life lessons and obviously it's kinda fun because it's a big red dog that protects a little girl as she explores the world.

clifford is a metaphor for a pedo who nobody wants to have anything to do with except a little white girl who enjoys receiving all the attemtion (and perhaps some little harmless touchimg as well?) clifford is giving her.
as the older she gets she realize what a monster clifford really is and that explains the transformation of clifford from being a funny, cute little puppy it has now become this big, red, larger than life and house mean doggy.
of course clifford fell in love with the little girl that treated him like a human being when she was little ..... -
