2022-12-07 at 12:21 AM UTCPrawns aren't shrimps. they're related more to the crawdad
and they're fucking delicious -
2022-12-07 at 2:06 PM UTCI guess we don't really grow shrimps in UK...I never really saw them available anywhere, it was always prawns or prawn cocktail etc...maybe a cold(er) water species?
From a use/dish perspective prawns are shrimps in that they are used/consumed in place of. -
2022-12-07 at 2:09 PM UTCLast night I ended up having crab cakes and that mashed heart of palm..this stuff..
It didn't look very good but it was actually ok to eat. One amusing thing about it the directions say "Add 2 tbs of butter and then warm up in a skillet or microwave"
...it didn't really say the butter was optional (though of course it is) but the fact they are touting it as vegan food and then telling you to put butter in it tickled my pickle.
Imma gonna go pick up 10 more packs from the 99 cent store...I got it from there for 1.99...wallyworld sell it at $12...wtf.
