most complicated object we've discovered thus far.

We don't know what it is, though. On a scale of 100, we only know about 0.000000000001% of all there is to know about the human brain. Even if you lived a million years, you still would not know what the human brain is fully capable of.

There may not even really be a brain, because the only verification we have that we have a brain is coming from the brain itself. We could really be anything.

Wasn't there a recent scientific article about some of the memory cells stored in our hearts as well? like a backup brain server.

Well no, all vertebrates have a brain and many invertebrates...not just humans. You can dissect a frog this weekend if you like to confirm that.

But it's just your own brain telling you they have brains. The question is: how much credibility do you give to your brain.

No it isn't just my own brain telling me that, brains would exist even if I didn't...again you can look inside a head and see it...just as you can look at your hand and see that. Brains and hands would exist regardless of if you or I did...or didn't.

All it really is is the perception of chemical and electrical inputs.

Are you suggesting the perception of chemical and electrical inputs...can't be right?

are you suggesting there's a way to verify them, considering they're the only way our brains can parse data?

Our perception of "reality" is merely a matter of trust. At this time, it's not provable.

No, I asked him a question. the "?" at the end of it is a bit of a giveaway.
