Spark plugs all came with incorrect gap?

Ah yes, the 2 stroke cloud of smoke. My first motorcycle (bought new, I had junkers before that) was a Kawasaki KE100. Brand new and smoked like a 20yr old car. The battery in it was only 6V too. I took it back after 2 weeks to be worked on because the battery would go flat and I'd have to take it out and charge it overnight every day.
The guy at the shop basically said "dude, it's a 6v battery..you're fucked". On my motorcycle driving test the instructor was on his bike behind me and stopped me mid test to say "i'm not happy with your indicator lights they are very dim"....I explained the 6v battery dilemma and told him I'd charged it up the night before expecting him to sympathize...but he said:
"I've been riding bikes for 30yrs and I've never heard of such a thing"...I looked at his 1000cc 12v batteried bike and wanted to say "Hey dumbfuck..when was the last time in that 30yrs you rode a 100cc 6v battery beast?"...I didn't though.
I thought he was going to fail me because of it but he didn't...just wanted to be a twat I guess. -

why do you need to charge it ? dont bikes have their own chargers ? the magneto ?
the philosophy of bikes dicktates that you shouldnt buy and ride any bike that wouldnt run on just fuel alone.
if it doesnt work without a battery, its not a bike.
if it doesnt have a kick starter, its not a bike.
if it has non-user serviceable parts, its not a bike.
lots of bikes these days come without kick starters which make them not really bikes, loke men without penises. -

because it wasn't charging it very well and then when it did...it was a shitty little battery which obviously couldn't handle the lights/horn/electrics etc...a 10 min drone battery these days held the charge longer...so everyday by the end of the day the battery would pretty much be dead and I'd have to charge it in the house overnight so it was good for the next mornings commute.
I even had them change out the ignition coil...which btw is another story...in heavy rain the ignition coil would get "wet" and not work, I'd have to take it off, put it in the oven on low for 20 mins to dry it out...that was before and AFTER changing it out for a new one.
Just a shitty bike all around...not to mention the fact the thing was tiny with me sitting on it...and it would slip and slide all over the road because of being top heavy. -

Best bike in the world RD350LC. Every boyracer wanted one of these in the 80s...mine was bored out to 400cc and would toast all the other 350s that challenged me...my plan/hope is to one day import one to the US and fix it up and/or get one already fixed up...the greated 2 stroke ever designed.
Then my GSX600F (also know as a Katana). A nice middle of the road sports/touring bike that was physically big and so suited my 6'4" very well...I later had a GSX1100R which was actually physically smaller.
This photo was taken next to Ladybower Reservoir in Derbyshire on a warm sunny carefree day 1991 or so...later the bike was involved in an insurance fraud scheme where I had a friend steal it so I could get the insurance money.

i half regret not buying an rd350 but it was retarded anyway if i bought it. fuel consumption is utter shit and the performance isnt going to be better than most 250cc modern bikes.
its essentially an white elephant in yamaha metalic blue.
you dont strike me as someone who would commit insurance fraud,
what did you use the money for. -

Well at the time the RD was fast as fook and would beat many much bigger bikes, sure it wouldn't compete these days with modern bikes but it was a beauty to own.
I did the insurance thing because I was saving up for a house with the crazy nurse I was with at the time and figured I could take the bus and better use the money to go to the house down payment....it was a bad decision and I soon got the mentioned gsx1100R instead, that was the fasted legal road bike in the world at the time...but it was also an uncomfortable ride, I much preferred the 600. -
