This is the M1 Garand. The condition of it still amazes me. At $2000.00 I feel like I stole it. Bear in mind found it on Gunbroker last December when the price of anything firearm related was through the ceiling. I saw many others for sale at that time in no where near the condition of this one for just a bit less and one for $500 more that looked like someone wiped Hitler's ass with it.

Like anything in your house you have clean and maintain it. I usually oil a firearm that has been in the safe for a awhile before I use it on my range. -
