2022-11-01 at 10:11 PM UTCI enjoy fucking around in photoshop almost as much as I enjoy being peculiarly verbose on the internet, but I usually don't save my work - I figure once it's out there, if it's good, I will see it again some day. Well, I guess I'm shit at making stuff in photoshop because I never see my fucking work again and sometimes I really wanna. To remedy this, I'm going to post my photoshop nonsense in here as well as wherever it's truly meant to be (I guess I might post some original stuff in here too if the mood strikes me, but that's not the goal for now). Unless I'm worried about op sec and linking some untainted pseudonymous account elsewhere back to NIS (and me).
I only have a couple things *actually* saved, and they'll probs end up deleted one day, so I'll post those to seed the thread ig:

I'm jelly. I legit don't know why I've been so consistently unsentimental about the stuff I make, but I'd wager like 98% of the πππππ ππ» πΆππ I've produced over the years are lost in the anal sex of history. -

Hmm, wrong personality disorder is my guess. I'm overly sentimental sometimes, things i make get imbued with meaning as time passes. It's a little memento of the process, and the finished product at the same time. -

Hmmmmmmmmm. I dunno. Maybe. I felt like I would be less careless with, say, a painting I made but... maybe not? I can't tell really, because I generally don't make anything else. Essentially my only 'creative' output is shitposts and memes. Could also just be that shitposts and memes are linked in my head, and saving all the dumbshit pics I make would in some sense be like saving a copy of every dumb shitpost I write. I have a corrupt a wish thingy for you. Well sort of, the parameters are; you get to request i write you a program, benign, malicious, or useless doesn't matter. So wish granted, but every time you start it you have to sit through 5 popups that last 30 seconds each, and you can't close because no cheating. And the popups will have a random shitpost you made pulled directly from NIS.The following users say it would be alright if the author of this post didn't die in a fire! -

If I had faith that executing a program written by you on my own computer would result in nothing more than two and a half minutes of popups glorifying my shitposting prowess, I would not be me anymore. I'm far, far too paranoid for that. Not that I think you'd need to socially engineer some contrived reason for me to willingly run a program you wrote. My security is probably full of holes, and while I may be too ignorant and lazy to patch up those holes, the one part of my security which I have even a little confidence in is my resistance to social engineering.
When a guy offers to write me malicious code, or non-malicious code, so long as I'll run it? I know I can trust him. No sarcasm btw. I absolutely trust that guy to hand me a program containing code I'd consider malicious no matter what I ask for. Not because I assume they're malicious people necessarily, but because y'all niggas can't help yourselves. It'd be silly not to include a lil summit summit for yourself!

Everyone seems to think this. And you're right i don't need to contrive a situation where you need to download, click, and install something manually. If i was actually trying to malware you and was serious about it you wouldn't even notice it as it was happening.
Let me paint you a picture. The reason for me saying you can pick a malicious program is to entice you with the allure of power. If i automate a process by which you can gain access to some remote hosts that have a particular security issue for instance, even if only 1% of all computers are vulnerable, that's thousands of machines that likely will follow any order you send them.
For the record, an abundance of caution is good policy when dealing with people who can summon the spirit of the computer with their spells. Contrary to popular belief however i'm not permanently trying to steal everyone's data, money, identity, and/or girlfriends/imoutos. For what it's worth, I actually am more inclined to trust you than anyone else I know who could credibly make me a similar offer. And I figured you weren't offering to write me something malicious in hopes that I'd accept the offer and use it against myself.
I might honestly be the evil one here, like... if I were you, I'd include a little something. You know? A lil something to make it easy to mess with them. Just in case. What if I ever became big mad with the person in the future? No harm preparing for the possibility. "I'll probably never use it", I'd tell myself. "It's benign, harmless, accessible only to me - it's a stretch to even call including it malicious!" And if I do decide to use it, they'll deserve it! So including it is only harmful if they deserve it, in which case I should include it. That's how I'd see it and what I'd do in the case of people I like.
If I was even just ambivalent towards them, I probably wouldn't be able to help myself from actively messing with them a little in "harmless and fun" ways, just for being silly enough to run whatever I wrote. They'd deserve it. I will not speak of the depths I'd go to if I actually hated that person, because my ignorance makes it impossible to do justice to the level of harm I would seek to cause.
And like I said: the only kind of defense or security I'm capable of having an effect on is social engineering stuff. Even though you wouldn't need me to manually run a program, it's still not in my interests to accept such an offer. For the same reason it's not in a loving mother's interests to take a pill which will make her want to kill her toddler, or even just make her open to the idea of killing the toddler. My computer is my baby and while I might not be strong enough to protect it from every threat, it's exceedingly easy for me to protect it from myself by simply... not becoming willing to become a walking talking ACE exploit.
