Theyre saying that the preservation did this by allowing undergrowth to become overgrowth and this is why there is so much massive fuel. part of it was old-school preservation versus letting normal growth burn and the firefighters wouldn't have so much to put out or battle.
We all love nature but fucking come on. stopping nature from doing its normal thing is what is part of the cause of massive wildfires in the world. mainly western countries that thought this was a good thing. -
