   it's promoted for the same reason that old-world kings had rival families and factions castrated, only now instead of having soldiers drag them underground they can be convinced to do it themselves. there's a certain power in thinking longer-term than your enemies

    right, i was only half joking with what I wrote. take your autists out of the gene pool, and you'd probably never get differentials or op-amps, or even the periodic table.
