you're a traitor to freedom and a tool of the machine, people like you should be lined up against the wall and shot for their betrayls on the free exchange of information and technology by man

you are no better than a nazi that was "just following orders"

Here's one point i can give you credit for. If you play the game, play it well, profiting off dumb criminals is on those criminals themselves to a large extent, they were not able to assess the risks properly. No one likes a snitch, but you play by a different set of rules, your set of rules is risky when applied to more sophisticated criminals. However, those are generally not the type that get caught up in a sting of some sort by a CI.

I would say that you took the concept of 'street rules' and said, if i am breaking rules of the state, rules of the street ain't shit and can be broken too. Like i said, risky on both sides, more personal gain if executed successfully though.

I mean i don't particularly like people who pretend to be on one team but turn out to be on the other, or switch when it suits them, however if a criminal gets caught in such a snare, they should have been more acutely aware of the risks they were facing as well. Whitey Bulgier had a same kind of method of doing business, but on a grander scale.

The lesson to take away from your actions is to realize that just because you're a criminal doesn't mean you're safe with other criminals, even if those criminals ostensibly follow a code of conduct of some sort.

In my younger days when I was a bounty hunter for a bail bondsman half the cops in the county hated me and the other half loved me. I didn't care either way as long as I got paid. Same attitude when I did repo work.

I think wisdom (or at least my conception of what wisdom is) has perhaps never been a big part of this community, even going back to the totse days. Technical knowledge in heaps back then, even in domains like spirituality (which some, including my younger self, might conflate with wisdom). Really not sure we've ever valued or attracted the wise though.

Then again, I suppose that doesn't preclude the existence of a "wisest" amongst our unwise flock. There are probably a lot of people with wisdom in different domains. If I had to pick... candyrein, maybe? I have at least one criteria for wisdom in common with mmQ, and she seems to not particularly value this place (that is to say she values it appropriately). She just comes here to post in a handful of threads, keep tabs on people she knows and cares about, but otherwise she's genuinely just here for a laugh and doesn't seem too caught up in whatever our particular bullshit is. CASPER probably has the most wisdom when it comes to the degenerate drug fueled alt lifestyle this community is known for. Speedy is probably the most conventionally 'wise', just on account of age and having seen enough shit over that timeframe.

Might even be Lanny tbh. Same reason as candyrein kinda, but also he made the community. Barely posts here, and scooped up an amazing gal from the userbase. Dude stays winning.
