My extrapolation is very simple: she's already said she is going to do it as a kind of veiled threat and "flex" of her influence.
When push comes to shove, she is going to try to influence him to shut down the forum and Lanny being a wheak vhirghin who has never made contact with strange vagina before, will choose her gunt.
This will basically mean she has "won" the forum. She came from DH, seduced the wealthy admin, for him to shut it down and rides off into the sunset leaving another dead community in her wake.
It is only a matter of time before it happens as she has managed to place herself on a winning axis.
This forum's entire existence is dependent on Lanny needing to care about it a near zero amount.
However his virginal attachment to Frala increases linearly as a function of time. This is just a fact about nerdministrators.
So it is only a matter of time before she has built enough emotional capital with him to outweigh us in importance (she already outweighs us all physically) to where Lanny can't bear to lose her but can easily bear to lose this site.

according to the admin there wasn't much data to be taken; the database only had usernames, password hashes, email addresses and IPs but it looks like whoever did it gave the info to the police -

i thought the hack was exfiltration of cookies by a CORS breakout due to some dumbass chat thing that nobody used, and was written to pretend technical prowess (i'm not dissing the guy here, we all have egos, but fuck that was dumb).

IP addresses seems a bit weird in there. Like did the API leak variable-length data? How would you know what IP address was used with what date-range?

I haven't really looked into it but I think that was a separate thing, they took the chat offline when they changed providers

I mean... if they have the most recent IP attached to a username, all they have to do is track down the most active or aggressive users. I assume whoever hacked it was already familiar with the people they wanted to target and just sent the IP addresses and usernames of those people to the cops -

that doesn't make sense. the letter gives specific dates and alludes to specific content posted from a specific IP address (which doubtless they have, if they're going to ask questions about it).
something is absolutely missing. I got a vague recollection that the site owner warns people that if anyone does illegal stuff to put the site in jeopardy, he'll just turn them in (fair policy imo). maybe this is all it was. -

my guess is that the cops are either being technically inept and/or dishonest; they're just saying that this account was used from your IP and it made wrongthink between these dates -

That would have allowed the trannies to combine harvesting with DDoS using the API, if they distributed the admin auth cookie. I guess that'd have shown up in the logs though.
There was a link going round for their DDoS tool, written in Rust I think. I should have downloaded it, don't remember if source code was included, or where I saw it. -

Basically all forums that are operated by administrators that are sysadmins and not versed in InfoSec have all data connected to a user account this includes IP, because forum operators want to IP ban spammers.
Simple as that. If you drop the DB there is a very good chance you'll get that info, which is why even if you're on a site that you are sure is not malicious, you need to take precautions to protect yourself.
Also once the cops got an IP they can subpoena all records related to the person that has tat IP assigned. -
