I got an invite for Electric Forest next summer and I'm probably getting a little too old for such a thing but also not. I think I'm gonna maybe do it because hashtag yolo.
It's become really mainstream and probably not quite the experience it was ten years ago, but whatever right?
Plus if course it's a good excuse to do some drugs although I'll probably just contain that to one night. Surely people here have at least one festival story. Or just a concert story in general for that matter.

Ya I used to get invited. I was gonna go to Lost Lands one year but decided to stay home to sell drugs, 90% of my customers went and I realized how short sighted this was of me. Never went.

Yeah I would agree that was shortsighted of you as you could probably make thousands of dollars in a day or two easily at such an event. You're only 30 though so you can still make it happen. Actually you could be 70 and make it happen in fact the older you are the more trustworthy you'd probably seem to the youngsters.

We did Hangout Fest one year and it was fun although I’m not sure I would classify that wholly as dirty hippy. It’s on the beach which is nice but the lineup has gone to shit over the years. I’m probably just getting old.

I've been to many. My city has a lot of music festivals and it use to have a lot of hippies until it became new New York and new LA.
My favorite is called Eyores Birthday party and it's on or around 4/20 every year. The concept is we're having a birthday party to cheer up Eyore. And there's a giant stuffed Eyore that gets carried around by a tribe of people and as they move through the crowd you hear random cheering from different directions and then it all makes sense when the Eyore gets to your area and everyone around you is cheering and taking pictures with the giant Eyore in the background. There's music and food and vendors and spontaneous drum circkes.

Ive been to bonnaroo twice and lollapalooza once..bonnaroo we camped both times lolla was hotel.
Would do again for sure and i think everyine should go to a 50k+ ppl fest once in their lives.
I was like 16 and 17 for bonnaroo and 18 or 19 for lolla
So i think..2007-08 roo..2010 for lolla..lolla soundgarden played so it was that year..kayne was at like the first roo and metallica like the sdcond with a plethora of more bands obviously..but those r the years if u wanna look it up

Theres mini festies around here ive been to too..
The biggest was one called schwagstock [spookstock] with this local tribute band called the schwag from st louis.
Ended up they got raided and jimmy (frontman and bassist of the schwag) enddd up going to federal prison for sum years because it was like federal land tbat was being used and drugs were being sold on it.
Jimmy tibeau or some shit was his name ya can look it up
