That's actually pretty interesting when it comes to their approach of getting CO2 from seawater, but it's simply not practical and the equipment that would be needed to do this sort of process would take up a huge area and would produce very little fuel. Therefore much easier and cheaper just to use the extra space for extra jet fuel storage.

imagine turning the air into nitrous N20 Boosted propellant so it costs 0 fuel to leave earth

our atmosphere is nitrogen, oxygen and CO2. I'm pretty sure I can make a chemical converter that sucks in "air" and turns it into nitrous oxide.
Instead of a decomposition product it would be formed with high amounts of electricity possible from a small RITG. This would also work for a non solid fuel rocket that would work 100% in earths atmosphere burning no fuel along with some boron fuel solid state boosters

what if you had a ship build specific for that purpose that follows it around like a starcraft unit FUEL READY SIR , or Tiberium miners in command and conquer

How many litres would the fuel factory ship make per day? And how much would it cost to run per day?
And how could that compete against oil that is pumped out from the ground on a dollar-per-litre basis?
If you were determined to go with this approach, then why would you not just put the fuel creation plant on land and ship out fuel as it is needed?

from the second link
A recent article looks at the feasibility of using seawater and nuclear power to synthesize jet fuel. [5] The entire process could take place at sea (e.g., on an aircraft carrier or a dedicated fuel-producing ship). In such a process, carbon (in the form of CO2) is removed from the ocean, and hydrogen is produced by electrolysis. From here, jet fuel can be synthesized through a Fischer-Tropsch process. (The Fischer-Tropsch process is very old, having been used by the Germans in World War II to make liquid fuels from coal.) [6] It is claimed that, with 200 megawatts of continuous power and a supply of seawater, 82,000 gallons of jet fuel could be created per day; from above, this translates to an efficiency of about 66%. At an estimated cost–assuming efficient carbon-capture from seawater–of $3-$6/gal, this is somewhat higher than existing jet fuel costs. However, the associated logistics of getting fuel to an aircraft carrier are circumvented, making this technology very appealing from a tactical standpoint.

Wait yeah why don't they just build the same concept but 10x bigger on a navy coast base and use that instead of oil

I don't think it's supposed to compete against it, obviously this will never replace the reliance on fuels but this seems like a wise investment for the upcoming energy wars
I have a feeling in 100 years people will be shocked we wasted most of it on stuff like NASCAR "YOU COULD HAVE BUILT MOON BASES BUT ALL THEY DID WAS YELL ABOUT POLITICS!!"

That's far more yield than what I was thinking would be possible, but just extracting carbon from seawater still just stage one of a fairly complicated synthesis route.
I think we'll see very expensive oil in our lifetime. It's going to be ridiculous.

You can run a truck off wood so I'm not worried. also my country is a major exporter so we will be laughing to the bank until America invades us Upon checking my notes and internet history I think this was the main process used for most of history to make syngas, there are many ways to skin this cat. It's not as popular compared to how it used to be. Green based syngas is cool though and could replace a lot of centralized reliance on fossil fuels

i watched this hippy guy that lives on a island and turns all the plastic into something kinda gasoline-like it runs his generator
That video makes him sound like he just heats up plastic and it turns into fuel, but look at the apparatus he has made, he's basically doing distillation there.

A Family member (by marriage) helped modernize the vapor gas to liquid fuel process of today. that being said, yeah. making Hydrogen from Salt Water can be turned into liquid Hydrogen I guess. or pure oxygen. liquid oxygen sounds too explosive though. I think 99% of Oxygen is self-combustible in air. not sure why. They were telling that Flat Earth Astonaut guy from Arizona why they wouldn't allow him to use Oxygen in his cheaply made rocket that lost it's chute. or use it as fuel.
Poor guy, he was fun to watch when he made it the first time.

This vid is inspiring. I went to Cayman Brac in 2021 and the amount of plastic on the beaches was insane you could be a fuel exporter with the amount of trash rollin up on that doorstep.
They've been hiding efficient hydrogen extraction engines for decades. And its exhaust is nothing but clean water particles, giving back to the ecosystem. Every single car could have been running on water for pennies for the past 70 years, but they concealed it all, just so their buddies in the coal, fossil fuel and nuclear corporations could make a killing. And they even have the nerve to call this entirely criminal deception a matter of national security. Make no mistake. These are the enemies of mankind. Traitors to the human race. Minions of Satan the Devil himself.
