How long after seeing a general surgeon does it take to get surgery?

   I have an inflamed gallbladder it says to meet with the general surgeon sometime this week how long does it normally take once you've met with the general surgeon for them to get the surgery done?

   Yes it does hurt and it makes it tough to eat or drink anything and sleeping is hard not to mention the nausea
