he's being fucking retarded, there's no 'purge law'
he's referring to the 'SAFE-T' act in Illinois (I think), which among other things:
- removes the requirement of bail from many felonies including kidnap and assault, meaning they'll be released once charged
- compels police to not arrest but issue citations for anything but a class A felony

idk fam i think the prevalence of poor people killing the poor already, when it's not legal to do so, is a pretty strong indication the poor would take the opportunity to kill each other twice as hard. plus, if you pay attention to the purge announcement in the movies, there are people it's not legal to kill - government officials of rank 10. You think in a world with the purge our bourgeoisie masters will not find a way to insinuate themselves into the ranks of government and be granted such an immunity? Bill Gates and Jeff Bezos and Elongated Muskrat are not going to be legal targets.
The purge would only ever be the poor and the middle class killing each other for the sport of the wealthy.
