apparently it was apart of their sting operation but the Russian guy incident got a little hairy Because they lost the guy while trailing him for some time. -

2022-09-17 at 5:28 PM UTCit reached 38 bucks an oz between 2019-2020 them plummeted back to 10 year lows
I saw a graph on it last night. the thing is if you buy the metal it cost a premium fee (whatever they call it. a spot fee?) which is like 8%? wtf. but if you sell it do you get the fee or you pay another fee to the coin shop?
seems scammy af
but what if you buy it from the bank in paper bond format? is it redeemable only at that bank or will any bank honor it? or is it a government backing? I dont want the Government version if our economy takes a big shit. it isn't holding at fact value if you have to pay a fucking fee to buy and or sell it -

Spot = the market rate.
If you buy paper silver then the silver won't really exist. Those obligations will most likely be honoured, so long as you don't expect real physical silver to be delivered (which you aren't entitled to anyway) but the size of the paper market for all these commodities is several times the size of the real market, so the paper market trends to depress prices artificially. -

2022-10-03 at 3:51 PM UTCSilver got down to $18 in the paper market, but took off today. It's above $20 now.

Bullion is selling for $30+ with dealers - that's what they're buying it for from the public, not their markup. Physical and paper markets are completely disconnected. -
