By converting the PMK (also called MDBMK or 3,4-methylenedioxyphenyl-2-propanone) into a compound that is easily hydrolysed back into the ketone (such as the glycidate), it can be sold legally as described in the article.
No one is looking at producing it from 1,3-benzodioxole which can be produced from catechol which is a cheap byproduct of the paper industry. Of course that requires some extra steps, depending on the synthetic route…….the classic route would be formylation to piperonal, condensation with nitroethane to make the nitropropene and iron/ AcOH reduction to the ketone.

The air was displaced by nitrogen, and then with 5-minute intervals pelleted catechol (5.5g) and pelleted sodium hydroxide (4.15g) was added simultaneously, until a total of 110g catechol and 83g of sodium hydroxide had been added during 105 minutes. After a further 20 minutes, 20ml dichloromethane and 3g sodium hydroxide was added and the stirring was continued for yet a further 70 minutes. The reflux condenser was replaced by a Vigreux column and a constant-take-off distillation head. Water (50 ml) was added and the benzodioxole-water azeotrope was distilled off at 98-100°, more water being added slowly as distillation proceeded. Benzodioxole ceased to separate as a heavy oil from the distillate after ca. 600 ml. of distillate had been collected. The aqueous distillate was extracted with ether (3x60 ml) and the combined oil and extract was dried and distilled to yield benzo-1,3-dioxole as a colourless oil; nD21 1.5377, bp 173-176°C (80°C/9 mmHg).

Imagine getting a few hundred gallons, you would never need to work outside a fume hood again.

What is there to find?
Theortically IF pmk-g is a legal or otherwise underregulated compound there is little reason to believe the 5o is going to do anything once their labs confirm your glassware and properties are free of illicit substances or intents. -

Import for purposes of trafficking. Its a standard sentence for big time gangsters where I live which is why they bring in MDMA precursor by the ton and export finished product to Australia, USA and Japan. You make like $50k profit on every kilo you make and it costs a few hundred in raw materials to make a kilo and each batch is multi kilo.

I'll stick to learning to code, maybe starting a package delivery service (small to not require a huge overhead) and live a modest life.
I will say a lot of young wealthy are fairly sociable in silicon area. but the older SF wealth of many generations are bunch of wanks. They dont like new money. If you make tons, move into Pacific Heights and have shitloads of bikers come over all the time with old hogs.
I parked in front of this guys house to eat my lunch. He comes out "Hey man, My wife is coming home in a minute can you move your car'
He has a fucking driveway and a fucking garage. You know what I said? "Hey sure thing Sir" because I knew the corrupt cops favore the elitist in that area. didn't want an issue. Because I have purpose now. and it's not finished. and Im not gonna let some douchebag fuck up my day. But you, move in and invite me over. throw a crazy ass Animal House style party -
